Volocopter just showcased its new air taxi

The German aviation company, Volcopter recently showcased its new air taxi, called the VoloConnect. There are many players in this race to commercially launch eVTOLS. According to Volocopter, it "is the only eVTOL company with a product portfolio capable of introducing UAM services". VoloConnect aircraft is designed to move up to four passengers and has travel a range up to 62 miles at a maximum speed of up to 155/mph.

With many other products such as VoloDrone, Voloport and VoloIQ in its roadmap, Volocopter is a leader in the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) race; with a clear path to success. The company plans to launch its eVTOLS by 2024 in Paris and Singapore.

Volocopter recently secured €200 million (£172m) in a Series D funding round, giving it a strong financial booster to get its product to the market. CEO of Volocopter, Florian Reuter said "we are confident that this aircraft family, and the years of experience and leading innovation on which it’s founded, will pioneer the way for electric UAM services to launch commercially and internationally."
